Adventures in Anime
Wednesday, September 2 at 6 pm
in the Multipurpose Room
Starting in September, we are revamping Boba and Anime to Adventures in Anime!
There will be a few changes to the program including that it will now be a multi-age program for 13 to 30 year olds.
We will expand the food options from boba to various Japanese snacks.
We will also be sampling different anime each program by watching the
first few episodes, to hopefully help you find your next show to watch! No registration required.
Painted Edges and Bookish Beverages
Saturday, September 12th at noon
in the Multipurpose Room
Come to this program to learn how to paint the edges of books and have mocktails base in literature!
The library will provide a test book, but you can bring one from your personal collection as well, if you wish to customize it! Sign up by following this link.
Cozy Book Club
Tuesday, September 15th at 5:30 pm
in the Multipurpose Room
During Cozy Book Club, participants can come and go at any time! Curated for those who want low-stress socialization,
all are encouraged to bring the book they are currently reading and even a blanket, cushion, or pillow!
If a patron just wants to come to read with others and not talk before or after, we welcome them to!
Snacks and drinks will be provided.

multipurpose room on September 24th from
3:00-5:00pm! It’s gonna be a rootin’-tootin’
good time! All ages are welcome.
Chess & Checkers Cafe
Saturday, Sept. 26 | 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
New event at the library! All ages of players are
welcome to come out and play! Enjoy a cup of coffee
or some juice and learn a new or classic move!
We will provide the games, but feel free to
bring your own set if you wish.
WPL Junk Journal Sunshine Club
Tuesday, September 29th at 2 pm
in the Multipurpose Room
Meet bimonthly on the last Tuesday at 2 pm.
If you are working on a themed project, feel free to bring.
Otherwise, the library will provide supplies.
We Were Children Screening
Wednesday, September 30th at 2 pm
in the Multipurpose Room
In honor of Orange Shirt Day, we will be watching We Were Children on September 30th.
Orange Shirt Day commemorates the Native American communities impacted by
residential schools in the United States and Canada.
This documentary, which combines personal interviews and dramatic recreations of events,
recounts the experiences of two residential school survivors.
Warning: this documentary contains disturbing content and should not be attended by anyone under the age of 16.
Viewer discretion is advised. The documentary is just under an hour and 25 minutes long.
Crafter Dark
Wednesday, September 30th at 6 pm

Bring whatever craft you are currently working on and socialize with other crafters!

Willmar Public Library Makerspace
Register here to use our Makerspace equipment. Equipment must be used in the library and consumable materials are not supplied.
Makerspace users must agree to the Makerspace Policy and complete training on safety and equipment use. Reservations required.

Access the Seed Library in the Willmar Public Library during regular hours.
