Winter Reads 2026
Going from January 5th to March 2nd
Read 5 books to receive a mug, tote, or book light (while supplies last). Limit 2 prizes per person.
Any additional entries go to a chance to win the Grand Prize! Prizes can be picked up at the Information Desk.
Logs can be found at the Information and Circulation Desks in the library, or you can print out a copy here.
Prizes funded by the Friends of the Willmar Public Library.
Movie Matinee: The Naked Gun

Tuesday, January 20th at 5:30 pm
in the Multipurpose Room
Join us for a hot chocolate bar and a guided painting session!
All the spots for this program have been claimed, but keep an eye out for next month’s art program!
Crafter Dark
Wednesday, January 28th at 6 pm
in the Multipurpose Room
Bring in whatever craft you are working on (knitting, diamond painting, etc.) and
socialize with other crafters!

Cozy Book Club
Tuesday, February 10th at 5:30 pm
in the Multipurpose Room
During Cozy Book Club, participants can come and go at any time! Curated for those who want low-stress socialization,
all are encouraged to bring the book they are currently reading and even a blanket, cushion, or pillow!
If a patron just wants to come to read with others and not talk before or after, we welcome them to!
Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Red Cross Blood Drive
Tuesday, February 17th from 9 am to 3 pm
in the Multipurpose Room
Those interested in participating can either call 1-800-Red Cross (1-800-733-2767),
go on the American Red Cross Blood Drive app, or visit redcrossblood.org to sign up to donate.
WPL Book Club
Thursday, February 19th at noon
in the Multipurpose Room
Join us to discuss The Quiet Librarian by Allen Eskens!
Food and drink will be provided.
March’s book will be With a Vengeance by Riley Sager.
April’s book will be The Book Club for Troublesome Women by Marie Bostwick.
May’s book will be The Astral Library by Kate Quinn.

Willmar Public Library Makerspace
Register here to use our Makerspace equipment. Equipment must be used in the library and consumable materials are not supplied.
Makerspace users must agree to the Makerspace Policy and complete training on safety and equipment use. Reservations required.
Seed Library
Access the Seed Library in the Willmar Public Library during regular hours.
